Guitarist JJ Sansaverino has worked in various formations. His debut album Sunshine After Midnight (2005) radiates with a fusion of urban beats and Brazilian flavor with fresh horn arrangements and JJ’s unique guitar style.

His sophomore album Waiting For You (2014) was released on Innervision Records. Featuring cutting-edge musicians like bassists Chris Parks and Alex Valenti, keyboardist Etienne Lytle, saxophonist Zé Luis Oliveira, trumpeter Kevin Batchelor, trombonist Buford O' Sullivan, vocalist Vivian Sessoms JJ Sansaverino mainly strives on guitar and keyboards.

With the aptly titled Intro JJ sets his premier mark as dynamic guitarist with a rich diversity of guitar voicing. Back Talk casts a backward glance to the time of exciting crime thrillers when the spectators draw their suspense from the criminal acts and the captivating film themes.

Strive means make great efforts to achieve or obtain something. The running bass, the organic rhythm and the horn arrangement pave the way for JJ's infectious guitar performance. Desert Heat merges elements of reggae with a heavy handed edge of rock style.

The incredible attraction of Montego Bay (Jamaica) inspired JJ to the Latin flavored guitar piece spreading a sonic flow and the right dose of something diverse and exotic for your everyday life. Looking for Love offers a colorful hustle and bustle of horns with Zé Luis Oliveira and JJ on the melodious front.

Gravy Train (Remix) is an attempt to get younger listeners with techno beats on the boat. Is the expansion of own styles to hip hop and techno the solution? For Everything is a musical counterweight offering a smooth jazz balancing factor with enough gas in the tank to reach the safe shore.

Sweet Baby injects some reggae into the captivating mélange of smooth jazz and R&B featuring the lovely voice of Vivian Sessoms. The rhythm guitar infused The Struggle couples with a vivid imagination sax and guitar. Take My Hand is not only an invitation but tends to a romantic approach of melodious guitar chords.

Gravy Train is the better alternative to the remix version with a groovy disco beat in the style of Nile Rodgers and a guitar gliding effortlessly through all octaves. Padre stands apart to the other pieces of the album. With an Italian tremolo JJ serves Mediterranean flavor.

Waiting For You is not the typical smooth jazz album. The above listed musicians are rather unknown to the smooth jazz community. JJ Sansaverino is focusing on a joint ambition and a common destiny, the creation of an unique style. This might be the prime key to success.
