His work of love is his album Relentless (2013), which Darryl recorded with numerous musicians from his musical network such as Claude Hinds III (keyboards), Noah Hernadez (rhythm), Thomas Grivens (guitar), Alex Rogers (bass), Cortez "Tazz" Fields (drums) and many more.

The album starts with It's Alive!, a living testimony to his passion for contemporary jazz. On Interlude Darryl comments the thrust of his album to make the impossible possible, while the entertainment is not to be neglected. The title track Relentless is his testing ground for everything that sounds terrific.

With Unstoppable Darryl presents his funky attitude. In a hypnotic staccato he increases the melody to a burning tempo. In a contradictory presentation follows the romantic ballad A Beautiful Night featuring vocalist Mocha Brown. Darryl's enchanting flute merges with Mocha's  melt-in voice.

The Ride brings together the best elements of the previous pieces. Darryl excels on flute with his unique sovereignty. Arrangement, melody and performance can be compared with other great flutists of contemporary jazz. A Walk In The Park reinforces this impression.

With Summertime Darryl Evan Jones honors the Lifetime Achievement of George Gershwin featuring the emotional voice of Maritri Garrett. Remember Me is a desire that is strong in human history. Darryl leads this desire to a human level and gives it a personal touch with his flute.

Gospel singer Donald Andrew McClurkin, Jr. composed Speak To My Heart with a spiritual component. Darryl's interpretation features blessed singer Andrae Alexander, an accomplished musician, songwriter, producer, author, and performer. When a musician names a title with Breathe, this has sometimes meaning. For Darryl music is so important as breath of life. This piece gives all participating musicians opportunity to shine. Final tune of the album is Hang In There. Darryl gives his instrument in this piece first a softer touch before he treats it on the bridge like Nestor Torres.
