Life treats keyboardist Kirk Fischer well. During the 70's he was touring and recording in various bands for almost 10 years. Later he took a job in a piano and organ store, where he met his wife Carol. He put music on hold and pursued education, business, and family. Playing music was not a job anymore and just for fun. Today he works as Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

During the late 90's he started performing on weekends and recording in his own home studio. Over the past twenty years he produced some projects and performs today in the locally popular band Touch of Class. Through a kickstarter support for East Bay Soul 2.0 he came in contact with Greg and Andrea Adams.

Greg returned the favor and produced and arranged Kirk's debut album Friends, which is scheduled for release in February. While Kirk plays the keys, he is surrounded by the following musicians: Herman Matthews (drums), Kay-Ta Matsuno (guitar), Dwayne "Smitty" Smith (bass), Johnny Sandoval (percussion), Greg Adams (trumpet, flugelhorn), Lee Thornburg (trumpet, flugelhorn, trombone), Greg Vail (sax) and the ROQ Goddess String Quartet.

The gently swaying Friends introduces into Kirk's favorite project. All musicians demonstrate great dedication and vigor to create a harmonious atmosphere, which is built on the columns strings and horns. With Dis 'Sup Kirk chooses a more contemporary approach. While the band performs in a groovy EBS style, the strings hover over the ground like a semi-pelagic trawl.

Kiss on My List is a punchier and dynamic pop song by the American duo Hall & Oates (1981), that accompanied the everyday life of our generation for a while. Kirk's rendition develops to a contemporary custom painting, that eloquently yields the most beautiful musical harmonies reminding at those of the group Chicago meeting David Foster.

Kirk touches the keys in sweeping bends and angles on Reach Into Your Heart. Strings and horns underline the powerful and fresh impression. With a symphonic and epic appeal Shades Of Gray underlines the elegance of Kirk's composition featuring Kay-Ta Matsuno on acoustic guitar. Chi Coltrane's hit Thunder And Lightening has brought her the title "Queen of Rock". Some compared her with the late Janis Joplin. Greg Vail skillfully exposes the edgy 70's sound on sax on Kirk's interpretation.

The Way It Is, a song recorded by Bruce Hornsby and the Range from their 1986 album The Way It Is, is an all-time beauty of rock history. Kirk features an orchestral-symphonic nearly cinematic masterpiece, that let us look back with some wistfulness and melancholy to the good old times. Bast Majority takes us to presence again with a horn driven piano piece.

Paul Joseph Baloche, an American Christian music artist, worship leader, and singer-songwriter has composed Open The Eyes Of My Heart, which has developed to an infectious song in the Christian world. The musical secularization of Christian songs has its charm in the concrete case. With Blame It On Your Own Self Kirk serves the whole program, which makes this formation so great. A rare synergy shines through the complete project.

If you can look back on a filled life full of moments of happiness, then is the realization of such a musical project that one has longed for with all the fibers of his life, an additional satisfaction, which is accepted with gratitude. Kirk Fischer is such a lucky charm and we can acoustically join him in this feeling of happiness.
