American saxophonist, composer and teacher David Larsen is the director of instrumental studies at Spokane Falls Community College. David owns several graduates from different universities.

He presents and performs himself at the Jazz Education Network, the North American Saxophone Alliance, and several other festivals.

David has performed with, among others, Ken Peplowski, Francisco Torres, Dave Glenn, Ron Vincent, Bill Mays, Dean Johnson, and internationally acclaimed jazz singer Halie Loren.

His two releases last year enjoyed international success. He has released 2 EPs on the G2 label. The first, "G2 and You," was released in December last year, and "Bright Days" followed last January. Now those two have been put together on a full album with 8 tracks.

'Angel Eyes' starts out in a romantic mood, which reminds me a bit of Acker Bilk. This is followed by 'Another Porter Please' which swings slightly. The Dave Brubeck cover 'In Your Own Sweet Way' is the next track, followed by the original Latin track 'Latin Silver'.

The well-known 'Autumn Leaves' brings, as always, a melancholic atmosphere. And 'Bright Days' rocks the pan. Johnny Mercer's "Come Rain or Come Shine" follows, after which the original "Through and Through" closes.

A “treat” for those who love romantic saxophone music!
