HEADS UP INTERNATIONAL RECORDING ARTISTS
                  YELLOWJACKETS RECEIVE GRAMMY NOMINATION

  Time Squared Nominated in the Category of Best Contemporary Jazz Album

Cleveland-based Heads Up International, in its fourteenth year as one of
the world’s premier crossover jazz labels, and contemporary jazz legends
Yellowjackets have been nominated for a Grammy Awards in the Category of
Best Contemporary Jazz Album by the National Academy of Recording Arts and
Sciences, for Time Squared, released on May 27, 2003. Winners will be
announced at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards Ceremony, to be held on Sunday,
February 8, 2004, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will again be
broadcast in High Definition TV and 5.1 Surround Sound on CBS from 8-11:30
p.m. on the East and West Coasts.

For over twenty years, Yellowjackets have been recording, performing and
building a worldwide fan base with a sound that draws from the rich
traditions of jazz, R&B, world and pop. With sixteen albums, thirteen
Grammy nominations and two Grammy awards to date, the group continues to
evolve.

“Yellowjackets  represent  the  very  best of the contemporary jazz scene,”
says Dave Love, President of Heads Up International. “We’re very pleased to
work  with  Russell, Jimmy, Bob and Marcus. They are all wonderfully gifted
musicians, and as a group have a unique sound that fans love.”

Yellowjackets are equally excited about their latest nomination. “We’re
honored to be included for consideration,” says Grammy Award Winning big
band arranger/saxophonist Bob Mintzer. “Our relationship with Heads Up has
been a pivotal point in the band’s career. We love working with Heads Up
and feel that it’s one of the best record companies out there.”

Bassist Jimmy Haslip and keyboardist Russell Ferrante founded the band in
1979 and Mintzer joined the group a few years later. The current lineup
also features drummer Marcus Baylor.

Yellowjackets’s Time Squared was released on May 27, 2003. The album was
released as an enhanced CD (HUCD 3075) and as an SACD in 5.1 Surround Sound
(HUSA 9075).
