Deep
soulful grooves, intriguing melodies and arrangements, intense and unique
keyboard artistry.
Dave Osoff has been a touring musician and independent recording artist
for over 14 years, and has recorded and/or performed with many top
regional artists, including the Vykki Vox Band, Max Creek, Jiggle, Rounder
recording artist Michelle Wilson and Evil Gal, Tone-Cool artist Tony Lynn
Washington, songwriters Pat Burtis and Jennifer Matthews and the live
trance/electronica of Nikulydin.
As a long time member and songwriting partner in the Vykki Vox Band, Dave
has co-written most of the music for the band's 3 cds released under their
own Webrock Records label. A fourth is in the works, and scheduled for
release later this year.
Dave's debut instrumental album, 'Mosaic', has just been released. This
new project delivers some very fresh sounds; lots of brand new music, as
well as exciting, new arrangements of songs written over the last 4-5
years.
From the adventurous jazz/rock/funk of 'Why Not', the blistering
techno-rock of 'QX5', and the hypnotic grooves of 'Daybreak' and 'Hannah',
to the uplifting pop hooks of 'On Our Way', 'Destiny' and 'Even Now', the
high energy funk and R&B of 'Freedom' and 'Mosaic', and the swinging,
gospel flavored boogie-woogie piano of 'Never Enough', this new project
features some of New England and New Orleans' finest musicians.
Nyno recording artist Amadee Castenell (tenor sax, flute), currently works
with Alan Toussaint, Dr. John, and the Neville Brothers, and has recorded
with Paul Simon and Paul McCartney.
Scott Murawski (electric guitar) of the legendary Max Creek, Erik Ringstad
(acoustic and electric guitar) of the critically acclaimed Acousticity,
Justin Kolack (bass) of the Vykki Vox Band and Sky Piece, Greg Vasso (drums)
of Jiggle and Max Creek, Chris Rivelli (drums) of The Vykki Vox Band, and
Scooter Vineburgh (percussion) of Nikulydin, all bring a freshness,
vitality and an intensity of spirit and groove to these recordings that
rewards the listener with many surprises. Check out the 'band links page'
