“Straight from the heart”, is how Rick McLemore, CEO of RM Music Productions, Inc. describes his funky-smooth urban jazz sound.

Born in Richmond, Virginia, Rick embraced his music career at the age of 15, with his first guitar he received from his uncle. He spent endless hours listening to different forms of music; and with determination and dedication to his instrument, taught himself how to play. Rick later went on to receive formal music training at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Richmond, Virginia.

Throughout the years Rick has written his own compostions; also becoming an accomplished bass guitarist with his own distinctive sound. Life experiences are the influential source to his music - keeping it fresh and exciting. His talent has put him on stage with some of music’s greatest names. Rick has performed with a host of noted artists from a variety of music genres - The Drifters, the late Phyllis Hyman, Ken Navarro, Miles Jay, Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers, Bebe and Cece Winans, Helen Baylor and many others.

Rick is a musician with insight and retroflect. His musical style blends smooth jazz-soul and funk fusion with his gospel and R&B roots; using his guitar to speak musically what is in his heart. With his debut release “Just Let Me Play”.
