1998-Present.

  • Released CD entitled Transition and Keith Byrd Trio Live at Reynolda House. Pianist High Point Country Club. Owner of KVC Studio. Performs with his ensemble nationally. Musical Director at Wesley Memorial Methodist Contemporary Services. Performed for President George W. Bush, Senator Elizabeth Dole, Rudy Giuliani, Robert Schueller, Jr, Lauren Bacall, and Stephen Humphrey Bogart. 2005 US Open Pinehurst USGA,


1990-1998

  • Keyboardist for Sweet Dreams. Toured the southeastern coast. Appeared with Phyllis Hyman, Peabo Bryson, O’Jays, Jonathan Butler, and Ashford & Simpson


1994-95 Solo Pianist

  • Solo Pianist at Hotel Face in Davos Switzerland.


1992-1994

  • Keyboardist and Vocalist with Ichiban recording artist, Theodis Ealey. Recorded CD entitled, ”If You Leave Me I’m Goin’ With Cha” Toured Switzerland the winters of 1992-93 and 1993-94.

1990

  • Keyboardist with Barbara Weathers, Warner/Reprise/Pioneer recording artist. Lead vocalist with Atlantic Star; toured Japan.

  • Pianist and arranger for Toast to Black Broadway presented at the North Carolina School of the Arts and the Steven Center. Produced and directed by Steven Semien for the Best Choice Center.

1986-1988

  • Music Director and Manager for FRYNZ , a jazz-fusion quintet. FRYNZ was the backup band for Capitol recording artist, Beau Williams, touring five southeastern states. The group also appeared with Natalie Cole and jazz violinist, John Blake.

1983-1985

  • Sales Representative for Yamaha International, Specialty Products Division. Demonstrated the company’s special keyboards in Circuit City Stores in Winston-Salem and Greensboro, North Carolina.

  • Keyboardist and Vocalist with The Mirrors Band. Toured the Southeastern coast. Recorded “For you and Delta Nights” on the Lomond label.

  • Winston-Salem State University

  • Music Education major. Principal Instrument: Trombone. Minor Instrument: Piano. Honors: Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities and National Dean’s List. Pianist at Reynolda House, 1977-1981, 1990-1994, and Special recitals for University officials.

 

  • 1976-1977 North Carolina School of the Arts

 

  • Private lessons with Robert Cox, principal trombonist with the North Carolina Symphony.
