Iwan van Hetten

 

Trumpeter Iwan van Hetten is both a multi-instrumentalist and a passionate arranger/composer. Within a wide range of styles he has a very broad experience as a trumpeter, keyboard- and bassplayer, producer, arranger and composer. 

Iwan started playing when he was 4. Couldn't even hold the instrument for longer than on minute! His first trumpetteacher in his carreer are was his late father (professional trumpeter) Eddy van Hetten. At the age of 16 he was already touring the Caribbean and South-America. After being in the USA for a while Iwan entered the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam to study with Mr. Charley Green (an American trumpeter) who was his second main teacher on
the instrument. He graduated with honors. 

At 22 he was asked by Candy Dulfer to join her band in her upcoming World Tour. As a sideman Iwan did numurous Radio Broadcasts an TV appearances. Throughout his career he has toured, performed and recorded, with a great variety of artists such as:

USA, Japan, Curacao, Aruba, St. Maarten, Bonaire, Cuba, Venezuela, Isla Margarita, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Fr. Guyana, France, Australia, Surinam, Russia, Libanon, Canada, Polen, Schotland, Indonesia, Phillipines.

Furthermore Iwan performed on several Pop and Jazz Festivals Throughout Europe in countrys like Swiss, Austria, Hongary, Italy, Finland, Spain, Germany, and UK.
