Keith Williams

Keith Williams is the product of a rich tradition of southern music that includes gospel, blues, jazz and a healthy dose of everthing between.

It was in church, however, that he began his musical journey at the age of eight. In 1993, after numerous stints as a sideman, Keith decided it was time to branch out on his ownand explore another musical direction. All roads seemed to lead to jazz. The transformation of his guitar voice as a lead instrument, proved to be an easy one for Keith and he quickly formed a quartetwith home grown players and appropriately called the group Second Nature. In 1995, Keith's exceptional talent earned him a scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Plunging headlong into the schools intense cirriculum, he was able to grow even further and as a result of his experience, there he financed and produced his first self titled CD. Keith continues to perform extensively in the southeast region. He has released a second CD entitled "Set the Mood". Keith has also opened for major acts like: Ramsey Lewis, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Eric Essix and a host of others! Since then, Keith has incorporated a vocalist to add versatility to his band. He is currently working on his third CD which will be called "Perfect Timing".
