Brian Silber

For over 40 years, Brian Silber has been sharpening his mastery on the violin, netting him a reputation as a unique and recognizable stylist of contemporary pop/jazz captured only by a few of today's jazz violinists. His classical influences are evident, from his early teenage years culminating as concert master of the highly acclaimed Maryland Youth Symphony Orchestra, to his performances from Jamaica to Paris, France.

Brian has enthralled listeners with his versatility and ability to blend artistically with an array of top performers. His recording and performing credits began in 1971 while touring with Epic Recording artists, Robey, Falk & Bod, continuing to 1984 with the release of the collaborative original "Dance of Life" collection of songs with Andy Gordon, and progressing to the present with his March, 1999 CD release, Brian Silber / "Ahead of the Wind," featuring Dennis Chambers, Gary Grainger, John Whitney, Victor Williams, Dan Reynolds, Alejandro Lucini, and others.

Compositions include originals by Brian Silber, John Whitney, and Stephanne Grappelli. Upcoming performances include engagements in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, St. John, USVI, Megeve, French Alps, Gordon Center for Performing Arts in Owings Mills, Md., and will continue on an international scale.
