A native of Washington, D.C., George became an accomplished trumpet
player by the age of 16. His versatility extended into R&B, FUNK, JAZZ
and CLASSICAL realms. In College, he played in the Duke University
Jazz Ensemble, the highlight being a couple of concerts performed with
DIZZY GILLESPIE. After several years away from performing, George
began to record in his home studio.
His latest project, "JAZZMATAZZ," is exclusively
Contemporary/Smooth Jazz and rivals what is heard on any Smooth Jazz Radio
Station. The title cut "Jazzmatazz" is Lee Ritenour-like but
special attention should be paid to "Make Mine a Perfect 77
Degrees" (the New Millenium's version of Paul Hardcastle's Rain
Forest - and danceable enough to be played at a club.) "Moanin'
Glory" and "Gave it All/Said it All" are perhaps the first
real instrumental love songs where the listener knows exactly what's going
on; even without words.
