Marcus Matthews

Marcus Matthews was born in Europe but sings and writes Adult Contemporary Pop with a soulful and sensuous sound not often heard on either side of the Atlantic. It's as silky as chocolate mousse-but with a dash of spice. Smooth Adult Contemporary Pop with R & B overtones. A blue eyed-soulful kind of guy.

Marcus studied classical and jazz guitar, then took vocal lessons, and later topped that off with acting studies.

He toured through Europe singing the part of Hamlet in the musical "Ophelia", written by Russian Composer Sergei Dreznin. He's also been the featured vocalist on numerous international radio and television commercials, including Swatch, Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen.

In 1989 his first CD, "It's Me" was released in Europe on Polygram Records. Later that year he won "The Award Of Distant Accords" at the Nashville Music Festival.
1992 saw the release of his second album "The Marcus Matthews Trio, and in 1996 he released the CD "Favorite Songs", followed by extensive touring all over Europe.
As a member of the group Soulbox, Marcus Matthews released the Mini CD "Love is On" in 1998. He was signed to BDM Records in 1999.

His soulful, sexy voice is be heard on his first BDM Records release in July 2000. It's titled "All I Want" and it will be what YOU want when you hear it. It's adult, it's contemporary and it's unique.
