In the Groove is the backup band that performs with Robby Bright when he performs live and often backs him up on his recordings. It is made up of some of the hottest musicians in the Midwest. Individually the members of the band have performed all over the world with such artists as Yolanda Adams, Reggie Calloway, Nitro, Kid Nikki, and Black Pearl. Collectively In the Groove has shared the stage with such artists as Kim Waters, Eric Benet, Melissa Morgan, and Oleta Adams. The Summer of 2001 looks to have them performing in front of over 200,000 people in various venues throughout the Midwest region of the United States.
