Vincent Todd Haddad

Todd Has been writing music and playing with jazz artists since a very young age. As early as age 19, he had already been playing drums and percussion with many local bands which led him to tour with well known jazz and pop artists such as Al Hirt, Sam Savage, Bryan Hughes and Atlantic Star. Todd didn't only enjoy playing and writing jazz but extended his musical talents by playing with pop, rock, country, polka, big band and classical groups. While attending college he performed with the San Jose State Symphony Orchestra and was hired in to play with many Broadway musicals and Las Vegas shows. He studied under some of the best in the industry including Anthony Cirone, Dan Sabannavich and Billy Cobham, just to name a few. Now with his new release "ALL ABOUT TIME", Todd would like for you to enjoy his musical works and sensual Smooth Jazz sounds.

A born and raised Floridian, I have been performing and playing drums since I was 5 years old. The first performances I can remember were at age 8 with local jazz and pop bands. In High School I was awarded the John Phillp Sousa award, an award that has only been given to a hand full of "percussionists" since its implement. From there I attended college in California studying jazz performance and African Brazilian jazz, and studied under the best in the industry. During that time, and after, I toured with Al Hirt, Sam Savage, Bryan Hughes and Atlantic star just to name a few. During my time as a touring musician, I enjoyed learning more about the other instruments that made up the rythym section. After further music composition studies, I began to write and compose melodic music instead of just relying on my percussion talents. Time has been the gift to me and now I have been able to produce my own projects as well as help others with their ventures. I have written music for Musicals as well as independent artists such as Michael Caldwell, Steele Sheppard, Stray Fox and many others. I have arranged marketing jingles for many large businesses and corporations. Currently living in the Tampa Bay area, I now enjoy my time with my wife and two children who love me for who I am and the only expectations from them are of being a Husband and a Father. This makes my music even better because it is from who I am, and not from what is expected of me.

Released in the fall of 2001, "ALL ABOUT TIME" has made sales worldwide and continues to be a favorite with smooth jazz listeners. This instrumental release features many great smooth jazz artists including Bryan Hughes, Tito Garcia, The Andrews and Christoph Spendel. All 11 songs were written and produced by Todd but his CD is not your typical jazz drummer's release. There are no off beat, can't find the grove, where's the up beat songs here. Just pure smooth jazz at its best! Recorded at Gulf Harbors Recording Studio which is located overlooking the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the sounds of this project seems to take you there. With sassy sax, melodic flute, a water tight rythym section and horn section, this smooth jazz production is sure to please. Tampa Bay Music writes "Sensational Masterpiece of Smooth Jazz" (2001). Drummer Magazine writes "Not just another jazz drummer but an all around, smooth jazz instrumentalist"(2001).
