Piotr Bal

"I recorded with people like Ray Manzarek (The Doors). David Benoit, Vinnie Colaiuta, Sumack (V2Records) and tons of other people you might not know. As a trumpeter I was featured on Ricky Martin videos "Livin La Vida Loca", "Shake Your Bon-Bon" and PEPSI commercial, Lou Bega "Tricky, Tricky" , "Ally McBeal Show" and many others. Some of my film work: "Making the Twilight" a documentary about making "Twilight" with Paul Newman and Robert Benton; "Holy Hollywood" feature film with Micky Rooney ; "Big Fish" and "The Adventures Of Rug Raymond" directed by Pascal Franchot , and more..."

Celebrated trumpet player Piotr Bal was born in Stetten, Poland and has lived in Chicago for the past five years. He has performed in Poland, Germany, Belgium, Israel, the Netherlands, and, of course, the U.S. Bal has played at festivals worldwide including the Jazz Jamboree which is Poland's acclaimed festival and one of the largest Jazz Fests in the world.

In addition to being a musician/composer Bal also writes music for films. One piece in particular "Nothing, Nobody, Nowhere" won a Director's Choice Award in the Black Maria Film Festival. He has been featured on both American and Polish television, was exposed in the Polish magazine Apropos holding only his trumpet, and survived the grand misfortune of living with a disturbing vibraphone player for nearly a year.
