The duo,2B1 is the product of a lifelong dream of Russell Rogers(sax) and Dale Jackson(guitars). Both were born in 1960 in Shreveport, La. Both were influenced early in life by their parents constantly filling the house with music. And their parents nutured their desires to play music. During their senior year in high school they were members of the jazz ensemble which further exposed and cultivated the fire and desire to produce quality music that is evident today! Currently they are working to produce more music and present to the public the music that they feel is not being served.

'I am just happy to be able to do what I love,' says Dale with a gleem in his eye when talking about composing and performing. One of 4 children and being the oldest Dale has always taken the lead in most of his endeavors. This project, 2B1, is no exception. "What I hope the fans can get from listening to our music is some of the joy I got from playing it". Having started at an early age the guitar came to him rather easily.

"Funk and Jazz when used in the same song is a Godly sound", says Russell, when discussing the 2B1 sound.With roots going to the 60's and 70's era , the love of music is a constant in his life. Being heavily influenced by the artists of these times, Russell says"What we done is taken the silkiness of R&B, the progressions of cool jazz, and the rawness of funk to create the 2B1 sound."
