Steve Veale


Steve Veale's music has been heard on smooth jazz format radio stations from coast-to-coast. Steve's music conveys the beauty of his home state of Florida and is an enticing blend of worldbeat and smooth jazz styles.

Contemporary jazz guitarist Steve Veale was born in Washington D.C. and began playing the guitar at age 13. By high school he was composing and performing his own compositions.

A long time staple of the Central Florida jazz scene, Steve introduced his music to a national audience with the release of his debut CD, City Steps, on Fahrenheit Records in early 1996. In addition to his jazz compositions, Steve has been active in regional and national jingle and television scoring, and in 1994 composed and produced the theme for the Fox TV special, Secret Files of the National Enquirer.

Legendary jazz fusion drummer/composer Alphonse Mouzon has praised Steve's "excellent compositions and musicianship," and Jam Magazine has said that City Steps has "a delicate bounce that should appeal to pop/jazz programmers immediately."

Steve's sophomore CD, My Imagination (released January 1997), is an enticing blend of smooth jazz and hip-hop grooves and features a stellar line-up of guest artists including Ichiban Records recording artist/saxophonist Tamara Danielsson.

A Tropical Christmas, Steve's first holiday recording, was released in December of 1997, with yet another new CD, Blue Horizon, debuting in January of 1998.
