Vernon Neilly

Vernon Neilly has seen the ins and outs of the music industry for thirty years. Beginning his professional career at the age of fourteen, doing local night clubs and dances in Honolulu, Hawaii. Progressing to doing major tour work, and recordings with some of the most notable artists in the R&B world, as noted in his extensive resume.

Under the direction of famed Motown hit-maker, Norman Whitfield, Vernon was able to learn and perfect his production skills. At this point other record companies began to seek his production expertise as well. Through the work Vernon has done, both live on stage and in the studio, his name has become an attractive drawing card for sponsors, who gladly attach his name to their products. To date Vernon maintains a relationship with some of the biggest music manufacturers in the world as his endorsers.

Spending seven years as the President of Chereese Records, Vernon learned every aspect of the record business. He now acts as a consultant to Independent record companies who need to get their product into the marketplace. Vernon is equally comfortable with work in either the front office (planning marketing, retail and radio strategies) as he is at the studio console (making the hit music he loves).

Recently forming his own company, Boosweet Records, he is busy at work getting Boosweet ready for the new millenium. He sees the company becoming one of the major independent firms of the future! Vernon is already working hard on the company's first release by artist Stan Patterson. The single is entitled "Dancing in the Rain" and is a nice mellow love song that will capture your heart and will be followed by a full-length CD release.
