Michael D "...vocally, he's (Michael) got plenty of blue-eyed soul with a bit of Bryan Duncan thrown in there when he lets loose...
I can't imagine my life without Christ, or without music. To me, music is the key that unlocks the emotional part of my relationship with Jesus. It bridges the gap between my head and my heart. When I sing, I feel closer to Him. If being a Christian was religion, then you wouldn't need emotion. But, being a Christian is a relationship with God through Jesus. And every relationship needs emotion in order to have life. There's a quote that sums it up best for me. Eric Liddell, the Olympic runner, was talking to his sister. He said, "Jennie, Jennie. You've got to understand. I believe God made me for a purpose--for China. But He also made me fast!--and when I run, I feel His pleasure!" I know God has given me the ability to sing, and when I sing, I feel God's pleasure. I hope in some way I can reach people and touch their emotions so that they are encouraged and/or challenged by the simple yet profound Truth of the gospel--Jesus Christ. My priorities are: God; my wife; our three children; our family; our local church; and our friends; everything else comes after that. Above all else, Jesus Christ! Performance Summary: I first fell in love with singing and performance back in high school. I sang in a group called The Campus Life Singers. Over the years I have sung with a variety of groups and bands, in places from Washington, D.C., to Brisbane, Australia, and in front of groups from seven to over 100 thousand people. |
