A native of Detroit Michigan, Calvin is
moving on to Las Vegas in the Summer of 1999. A versatile polished
professional, with influences by the great masters - Grant Green, Wes
Montgomery and of course...George Benson.
As a premier jazz / pop guitarist, Mr.
Brooks has accompanied many major artist. Favorite artist such as Lou
Rawls, Markena Shaw, the late Redd Fox, Aretha Franklin - a host of
Motown stars, and currently, Calvin is working with Martha Reeves and
the Vandellas.
Touring the world, Calvin rubs elbows
with Kings and Queens while keeping his common touch.
Calvin has three recording projects -
two CDs and one LP (remember those?). The CD titled "My
Favorite Thing" featuring Hari Paris, is a classic hit which plays
daily on the radio, as well as "C Breeze", Calvin's second CD.
With a new CD release in early 1999, keep your eyes and ears open.
This cat has chops, a beautiful tone and is STRONG! Calvin
can play any form of music.
