Amedeo Bianchi

 

 

At twelve years of age Amedeo starts studying clarinet at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatoire of Milan where he eventually graduates.

At the latter he studies experimental composition for four years whilst also taking his final exam at the “Berchet” classical lycée in Milan.

He subsequently enrols in the Faculty  of  Philosophy at the “Università Statale” in Milan, interrupting his studies half way through the course.

In the field of classical music he plays for a number of years with the pianist Ruggero Ruocco, concert performer  as well as professor of Piano at the conservatoire in Brescia. Together they perform numerous concerts : Brahms, Hindemith, Weber, Poulenc, Debussy, Schumann, Mozart, A.Berg, Bartock etc.

He becomes part of the “Ensemble Edgar Varese” (woodwinds ensemble) with which, in the course of several years, he often performs  mainly concerts of contemporary authors: Cage, Maderna, Nono, Berio, A.Gentilucci, Stockausen, Stravinskj etc.
With this same Ensemble he also records for the Swiss television and participates in live programs for RAI (Italian National Broadcasting Company).

At eighteen he composes and produces the sound-track of the theatrical play “Le Petit Prince” which stays on for more than one year, at the Odeon Theatre in Milan.
He takes part in numerous concerts and events of the contemporary composer Roberto Cacciapaglia, and also records an album released in Japan and Europe, of the contemporary composer Piero Milesi.

In the field of pop music, he plays for a number of Italian and international artists:
Madau, Vecchioni, Venditti, Fabrizio e Cristiano De André, Ramazzotti, Mango, Rettore,  Dori Ghezzi, Celentano, Mina, De Gregori, Finardi, Turci, Jovanotti, El Puma, Gino Latino, M.Lauzi, Gilbert Montagné, Toquino, Anna Identici, Garbo, Faust’o, Vanoni Paoli, Gianni e Marcella Bella, Viola Valentino, Goggi ,Cuccarini, Salvi , Pieroni, Massari, Cutugno, Christian , Bennato, Pooh, Jannacci, P.F.M., Figli di Bubba, Demis Russos, Nada, Casale, Di Michele, Di Bella, Panceri, Masini, Betty Vittori, Aida, Giusto Pio, Dentes, Mike Francis, Shapiro, Biolcati, Caselli, Conte, Oba Oba, Zanicchi, Gualtiero, Flying Foxies, Randy Crawford, Ranieri, Fortis, Carlo Marrale, Quiet Force, Casati, Blescia,Ana Cirré etc.


As far as tours and TV shows are concerned Amedeo performs with:
Fausto, Bennato, Vecchioni, Concato, Fortis, Pooh, Jannacci, Venditti, Radius, Cacciapaglia, Di Cioccio, Flying Foxies, Frank Sinatra jr.(european tour), Finardi, Vanoni, Paoli, Celentano, Jovannotti, Gilliani and Eros  Ramazzotti (1994 world tour ), Sarah Jane Morris , Al Stewart, Jamiroquai, Joe Cocker..ect.

Together with his collegues Pascoli and Morselli, he forms a trio of wind instruments called DECLAM, with which he records a CD “Declam” distributed in Italy by Ricordi and in Europe by Blue Flame.

Amedeo has produced and arranged for the record label “Les Folies Art”, the CD “Sitting in the sun”  by Lidia Lauder, distributed by Ricordi.

He also produced and arranged the CD “Che me ne faccio di me” by the emerging singer Caterina Rivelli.

Amedeo has taught saxophone for more  than 2 years at the “Centro Professione Musica” in Milan.

He has also been Yamaha demonstrator of the Midi Wind Controller WX7

He has written and published for the Publishing Company Ricordi, three books “Il Sax Moderno” (Modern Sax) followed by “Metodo per l’autodidatta del sax”
(A methodology for one-self taught sax player) and “Il Primo Metodo di Sassofono”.

Furthermore, he has recorded in America (Miami, Fl) , his first solist album “The rhythm of life” produced by Eros Ramazzotti and printed in the USA by Blue Note and by Sony in Italy.
Furthermore, he has recorded in America (Miami,Fl), his second solist album “ Coming Home”  produced by Keith Morrison and mastered at Future Disc  Studios (Hollywood,CA) by Steve Hall.
