Tony Windle Placerville California's Tony Windle based the music on this disk on experiences, events and people in his life. Tony feels that the best part of making this album was that he chose close friends to record with. J. Andrew Selby, an amazing Nashville programmer, modemed, faxed, phoned, and express-mailed basic programming, keyboard and drum arrangements for six tracks. In California, co-producer Scott Reams and Tony synched them to additional "real","reel" and "virtual" tracks. Guitarist Steve Giovenco, who has played with Willie Bobo, added some smooth licks. Percussionist Mombo Hernandez, known for his work with Slim Man and Peter White, played every percussion instrument known to man. Scott added some sweet sax and B-3. Drummer Johnny Rabb, bassist Nick Willow and guitarist Mark Thompson also contributed their talents. During all this, Tony invited sax superstar, Eric Marienthal, to join him on three tracks. Tony felt that the sessions were an "indescribable experience"... "It was amazing to have such an icon playing my music!" Tony Windle wishes to come full circle through the creative process of this recording. He hopes his listeners will be receptive to his music, a marriage between listener and composer celebrated...a closure created. |
