Nadine Shanti started singing at age 9 in church in New Orleans. No, folks, get that Gospel thing out of your head. This little girl was singing Gregorian Chant in Latin. She performed in operas and musical theatre to get her feet wet on stage.Then it was off to Seattle where she sang light jazz, show tunes and pop covers in nightclubs in Washington, Oregon and Canada and in cabarets in Japan, Indonesia and Okinawa.

In 1997, Nadine decided that she had learned enough about performing, marketing and sales to introduce her own music and her own style. She wrote, arranged, recorded and produced her debut CD, entitled "Down Home", which was released in Seattle in February 1999. Within a surprisingly short time her CD was being played in Las Vegas, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, New York City, Denver, Seattle, Germany and Tokyo, JAPAN.

Her compositions have consistently been in the Top 20 songs in Vocal Jazz now for over 5 months at MP3.com where she introduced her CD, "
