David DiIorio (dB)


David DiIorio has been a music professional for over 20 years. He holds a degree in Music Composition from the New England Conservatory of Music, and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine. He has won awards from DownBeat magazine and the Music Teachers Association of California for his compositions and he has worked with the legendary arranger Gil Evans, the Temptations, the Drifters and the Boston Symphony Orchestra among others.

As a composer, David has scored two full-length feature films, two CD's of original music, TV commercials, dance pieces and works for symphony orchestra, theater, string quartert and et cetera.

David is active as a Musical Director for Theater. He has Conducted Pirates of Penzance; The Wiz; It's a Wonderful Life; Oklahoma!; You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Coming Attractions; Charlotte's Web; Chorus of Disapproval and Godspell; and has been in the pit for: The Fantastiks; H.M.S. Pinafore; Bye, Bye Birdie; Grease; How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, My Fair Lady, Peter Pan and Twilight Bar. He's also composed incidental music and/or original songs for productions of The Haunting of Hill House; The Ladies of the Camellia's; Coming Attractions, Charlotte's Web, Chorus of Disapproval and It Started with a Lie.

David also enjoys accompanying many Ballet and Modern Dancers, including Elliot Feld (West Side Story, film version, San Francisco Ballet), Donald McKayle (Tony award winning Choreographer), David Allen, Molly Lynch (Ballet Pacifica), Sean Greene (Bella Lewitsky), Cyrus Parker-Jeanette, Israel "El" Gabriel, Glenda Carhart, Nancy Lewis, Marnell Hines, and Kristen Potts. David is also proud to have composed original music for "Mardi Gras", an original modern dance piece for choreographer Erin Landry.
